Imran Akram (Equine Law)
Imran specializes in administrative law which pertains to diverse aspects of regulatory regimes across different areas of law including immigration, business, environmental and equine law. His law office also has a comprehensive portfolio of real estate practice – both on residential and commercial sides including sale, purchase and refinance.
He holds two Master’s degrees in law, one from overseas and the other from Queen’s University.
Apart from his professional responsibilities as a lawyer, Imran is also active in academia. He is a visiting professor at University Law College, Punjab University, Lahore and has been part of the faculty since 2005. He also served as a member of the research Committee of IUCN Academy of Environmental Law, University of Ottawa for two years. Presently, he is a member of IUCN Commission on Environmental Law. He is a frequent speaker in domestic and international conferences on environmental compliance and enforcement issues.
Currently based in Mississauga, Imran also has law offices in Scarborough and Shelburne.
Imran is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Being a life member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association, he is also entitled to practice as an Advocate High Courts of Pakistan.
